Fresno,CA. Harley is a very sweet 3 year old filly who is ready for a full time job. She is a quick learner and will thrive in a consistent training program. Shes got all the basics and training will continue until she finds her forever home. Built solid with smooth gaits, a great brain and the cherry on top being that she is a gorgeous red dun roan. The Rockyoaks Lilly- Lilly led our appraisal with Es in general appearance and dairy strength. She received high marks for fore udder attachment, and structure. I really like this doe, and I’m super excited to see some future crosses. I have one doeling from her first freshening in the herd and she’s always catching my eye. Days in milk- 173, milk- 1362, fat- 67, protein- 49.

This girl is leading the ranks with milk production. Emory received high marks in Dairyness, medial and teat placement at appraisal. Another sweetheart in the barn and a strong will to milk. We are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to retain some genetics from her after two lactations she’s blessed some other herds with 5/5 bucklings! Days in milk- 170, milk- 1691, fat- 71, protein- 56.

Some overdue introductions- The Rockyoaks Stella. Stella is one of the sweetest goats here at Amber Ranch. She is never in a hurry and always on time to the feeder. Receiving great marks for foreudder attachment and an E in body capacity. Stella is in her second lactation this year after kidding a single doe kid that has been retained. Even with a single she is still putting milk in the pan and powering through her lactation with consistency. Current days in milk- 167, milk- 1133, fat- 48, protein- 38.

May and June have been busy but updates are coming! We have completed our first appraisal and what a fantastic experience! A HUGE thank you to Derek of Bradbury & Youngstown Nubians for allowing us to join in on appraisal. Thank you to my mother for all her help on prep and support at appraisal. We also completed our 5th milk test and have some numbers I’m pretty proud of these girl for! Another HUGE thank you to Jenna of Lula Acres Nigerians for all her help on completing our verification testing. It truly takes a village!

We are so fortunate to sign up for ADGA plus membership this year! We have four does on milk test and looking forward to the opportunity for Linear Appraisals. This is a great way to collect some data and help to make more educated decisions on breedings and keeper animals.
