One of our favorite features of our own edible landscaping are our apple trees. 🍎😍🍏

Whether we're using them for a fresh snack from the orchard, apple chips for the school lunch bag, or even toddler crafting projects, they sure make the rounds here.

It's one more reason that we're glad we've incorporated edible landscaping into our property.

We had our first frost this week and I’ve been reflecting on this garden season's wins and losses...and I keep coming back to the same conclusion - I am SOOOO grateful that I planted edible perennials a few years ago.

Don’t get me wrong - I LOOOVE all of my annuals...but they take a LOT of effort every year.

You know what wasn’t a lot of effort though? The myriad of edible perennials that my kids gorged on this summer and that are still gracing our garden right now.
