The guy delivered our hay the other day and it is wrapped in red white and blue and I thought that was the coolest! 🇺🇸 The kids have already had tons of fun jumping all over them. It’s their favorite part of getting a load of hay and it’s my favorite to watch them just be kids 🫶

I have seasoned freeze dried potatoes put up. I added cream cheese, butter, milk and seasonings 🧂

I have plain freeze dried potatoes, seasoned freeze dried potatoes and next will be freeze dried potato chunks.

We love potatoes around here if you didn’t notice 🤪🥔

If you’re like me and at 36 (almost 37) years old had no clue how an acorn was grown on an oak tree 🥴 let me show you!

Looks like something out of a dr Seuss book. The hair of the Lorax or something 😅

Sure is interesting to me. Seriously learn something new every day 🫶

I also can’t get over how CUTE this little acorn is 💕 that’s adulting I guess 🤷‍♀️🤪🤣

Smoked homegrown chicken, homemade mac and cheese, brocolli and banana bread.

My family says the smoked chicken reminded them of serious Texas BBQ in Durango CO. That was the biggest compliment they could have ever given me 🥰🫶

Banana bread was cooked at breakfast time and was apparently snacked on all day 🥴🤪

The toothache plant. A new herb that I grew for the first time and I’m interested in seeing how it works.

It is said to have numbing effects for tooth pain and helps with inflammation and swelling in the mouth.

Levi chewed up one of the flowers and said his mouth got numb and his tongue was all tingly 😆😅

I want to infuse some in oil and add to my next batch of plantain salve to see if it will provide a sort of numbing agent into the healing salve.

I may also tincture for other numbing type properties.

I have been trying to grow it for several years and finally got 2 plants producing.

We will see how well this goes 🫶

Have cows, they keep life entertaining. Those little horn nubs were just long enough to hook that bucket just right 🤣 Hope that feed was yummy, Ellis 🤣

Side note: he is alive and well 😜🫶
