Well we were out scouting.. not a pretty sight with the lack of moisture. It's going to be a tough and short harvest. But chin up. Thats the gambles we take as farmers.

Had another solid day on the farm! Started pulling some tubes off the planter—gotta prep it for an upgrade that’ll make next year’s soygreen distribution way better. The corn’s growing crazy tall, but man, we’re really craving a rain shower since it’s getting hot and dry—things are starting to feel like they’re burning up.

Well with the heat things have been quiet on the farm. Been getting many things done inside. Books and tinker jobs. But with the cool temps we were able to get a few more loads hauled to town.

Things in the garden are coming along nicely. 1st round of 🌽 isnt as tall as we would like but as long as the cob fills out that's all that counts. Second round looks alot better. Potatoes 🥔 are already to be picked so we will leave them in the ground and will eat as the summer goes and harvest just before fall and store for the winter. The pumpkin 🎃 patch experiment is coming along freebies on the highway come this fall!

With the warm temps some flowers 💐 have survived and I might even have a sunflower 🌻 or 2! That will be fun to see.

Some wild weather's been rolling through and we're grateful not to have gotten totally creamed though hail did put in an appearance and gave the corn a funky haircut a few weeks back let's hope summer's more chill and today's excitement finally got Mindy to show up.
