Our very first lambing experience and it was scary but look at the beautiful ram lamb we have! With the drought we were having, a rain storm started right when mom’s labor was full blown! We are calling him Rain! We have decided not to keep him though. Tail has been banded but have not castrated him yet. He can be registered but hoping to find him his permanent farm as a wether. He won’t be ready to leave for a while. Was born 5/21/26. If interested, reach out. We are in Graham NC.

This is Justus every morning with the big pigs lol. He struggles trying to feed them. They are always hungry but the dogs love him so he just gets smothered lol

Bella and Celeste are really into competitive cheer. This is them practicing their tumbling. They are so good. It usually ends with Bella asleep though lol. She can fall asleep anywhere!

I can’t get over the pig tongue lol 😝

This is the picture I get when I tell Justus to get me some cute pics of the animals. This particular dog, yes it’s a dog lol, is Rebel. She’s one of our livestock guardians. Anatolian shepherds are supposed to be a great breed for protecting livestock. They are big puppies right now so training is essential. I think they think they are pigs! They don’t understand why the pigs don’t want to play.

These two do their farm chores together. They like to sleep in but once they get going they do a great job. School is out so we let it slide a bit but now they are getting out there and taking care of the animals.

Justus is pretty witty. You will find him doing goofy stuff often. I’ve told the kids to get pics of his shenanigans because he’s so comical.

Ahnika had a really rough first year in college. She is autistic and very smart when she applies herself but the stress of self discipline has been a bit overwhelming so she is finally relaxing now that she is back with her family.

Justus is holding one of our junior English angora babies. Ahnika is holding a mix non wooly English angora that is part of a new color (lutino) project we are working on now. It’s a joy to have them here this summer!

Babydoll Southdown ram lamb tail docking. Our first banding on the farm. Not so bad…for us. He didn’t like it of course. Took a few hours before he was comfortable. Hated doing in but it’s part of the standard. Kind of like a poodle. But this is not how we dock poodle tails!

Still deciding if we will band his testicles. We have a couple weeks to decide.
