Benjamin Vineyards is a family-owned and operated sustainable vineyard and farm located in the Haw River Valley AVA of Piedmont North Carolina, just outside Saxapahaw, NC. Founded in 2002, Benjamin Vineyards originally operated as a vineyard and w**ery. The w**ery closed permanently in 2014, but the vineyard has continued to grow. Over the years, we have expanded beyond grapes to include an orchard and berry patch. Today, the farm grows 15 varieties of Muscadine and vinifera grapes, along with blackberries, figs, elderberries, raspberries, blueberries, plums, pears, persimmons, and several varieties of farm apples. Each year, beginning around Labor Day, the vineyard opens for our seasonal pick-your-own Muscadine grape season. Depending on the harvest, picking typically continues for several weeks into the fall. We also offer other seasonal pre-picked fruit and a selection of products, including Muscadine juice, jellies, and preserves. For home w**e-, juice-, and jelly-makers, we produce frozen grape must and juice during harvest season, including red and white Muscadine and red vinifera varieties, sold in 5 gallon (must) and 3 gallon (juice) buckets. We also offer several grape varieties specifically for making juice and w**e that you can pick during harvest season. Availability of fruit and other products varies throughout the year with the growing season.
