I got married to my best friend this weekend 💍
After months of planning, late nights, DIY projects, vendor calls, constant decision-making, coordinating, dance practice, celebrations, and about a million little details… I can finally say it was all worth it.
I thought running a business was hard (and it is 😂), but planning a wedding for 120+ people taught me a lot about what I’m capable of.
Every detail of our day was intentional. I wanted the people we love to feel thought of, and I wanted every little piece to feel like us. Somewhere along the way, I realized just how much my artist brain translates into so many other areas of my life. Creating an experience, bringing a vision to life, thinking through the tiny details that make something feel special.
And as someone who is SUCH a visual person, one of the hardest parts was not being able to actually see everything together beforehand. I had all these individual ideas in my head and just had to trust that somehow they would all come together.
And they did!!!
Our wedding day was more perfect than I could have imagined. We even got a little rain to start the day, but the skies cleared and the weather ended up being absolutely beautiful.
But after everything this past year has thrown at me, I feel like I can take on just about anything!
Now we leave for our honeymoon in one week (a road trip out West that includes a stop in San Diego, a place that holds a special piece of my story and where so much of my confidence as an artist first began) 🥹 I’ll get to show Taylor all of the murals I got to be a part of, AAH!!
In the meantime, I am taking on a few small and very exciting community projects, and when we return, I’m sure I’ll be very inspired and ready to take on even more 🤍
