Those foxes don't stand a chance now! Welcome to the farm, our new pup, Misty. She's a 2 year old working Great Pyrenees. We love her already! So do the turkeys 😆

Frosty morning on the Homestead

We'd like to introduce our Guineas- Echo, Coraline, and Nyx.

They've successfully made it through the quarantine phase and now beginning introductions. In 2 more weeks we hope to release them into the rest of the flock. 🤞

🐔🍂 IT’S MOLTING SEASON, Y’ALL! 🍂🐔

Apparently, my chickens have decided that fall is the perfect time to look like they’ve been through a tornado, lost a fight with a w**d whacker, and are auditioning for a role as a plucked Thanksgiving turkey. 😂🤣

Feathers EVERYWHERE! The coop looks like a pillow factory exploded, and my girls look like they’re wearing last season’s fashion… except half the outfit is missing. 💀🪶

Egg production? On vacation.
Looks? Absolutely questionable.
Attitude? Still 5-star diva behavior. 👑🐔

And heaven forbid I ask them to contribute to the household during this difficult time. Apparently, growing new feathers is a full-time job, and I should be grateful they even acknowledge my existence. 🙄😂

So if anyone needs me, I’ll be over here sweeping up feathers, checking on my half-naked drama queens, and reminding them that I feed them, not the other way around! 🤣

Anyone else’s chickens currently looking like they lost a bet? Drop your molting chicken pictures below! 👇😂🐓

Farmer/ homesteader friends: what are you doing to deter foxes?

Our fence and predator sirens don't seem to be enough, as we lost our second bird to a fox this morning.
