Timing matters when it comes to pre-weaning shots:
✅ First-time vaccines need lead time. Give a calf's first respiratory shot at least two weeks before weaning, and more time is better.
✅ Don't skip the booster window. Follow the label timing (usually 3–4 weeks after the first dose) for the best immune response.
✅ Calves vaccinated at branding have more flexibility. A booster near weaning still does the job.
