Two very traditional ways to celebrate Oktoberfest at New Magnolia.

MIT SCHUSS - The traditional German sour b**r served with a shot of sweet syrup in a Berliner Weisse (ordered "mit Schuss", meaning "with a shot")

CHICKEN - At Munich's Oktoberfest, rotisserie chicken—locally known as Hendl or Wiesn-Hendl—is actually the most popular food item at the festival, even beating out bratwurst and pork knuckles. Over the course of the 16-day festival, attendees consume roughly 450,000 to 550,000 half-chickens.

Both available at the bar. Limited rotisserie chickens available; first come, first served.

The Month of Murkey is officially underway.

NMBc presents - Murkey Matrix
2026 Murkey Matrix comes in at 8.5% - HAZY and OH SO Tropical. We loaded this year's Murkey Matrix with Riwaka, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin and Cascade. From nose to palate, this Murkey delivers the hops. Expect waves of sweet passion fruit and white w**e grapes, followed by a bright tropical fruit bowl over the middle, finishing with notes of pink grapefruit and melon rind.

Every October, No Label Brewing puts on the Month of Murkey. Murkey sends craft enthusiasts across the Houston area and beyond on a month long brewery hunt. Grab a passport, visit the participating breweries, drink some haze, get your stops checked off and see if you can finish the whole damn thing. Passports available in participating taprooms.

Think of this as your excuse to explore and support local craft b**r and to experience what community means in the craft b**r world.
