Barlow Roots Market Barlow Roots Market is a family run market garden in Hudson, WI. We farm organically with no chemicals or sprays.

Our main crops are lettuce, salad mix, cucumbers, zucchini and tomatoes. Other items are available through the season as well!

Sourdough bread alert! Just popping in to give you a heads up that we will have a fresh batch of sourdough bread at the farmstand on Monday. We should be stocked by 10 am. The bread is produced by a local baker using just 3 organic ingredients, it is delicious.

We of course will also be well stocked with all your favorite veggies too!

Harvesting some of your favorite salad greens this morning! It is Saturday June 6. We are open and ready for you at 9 am. The fridge is stocked with greens, veggies, herbs, duck, chicken and goose eggs.

We also have local syrup, honey, roasted coffee, tallow balm, nut butter, lip balm, tea and more.

Open 9 to 7 Monday through Saturday. Located just down Stageline Road near the movie theater on Old Highway 35 in Hudson. Look for our long white picket fence and a sign at the end of the driveway. We take cash or card at our easy self checkout kiosk.

It is a beautiful Thursday June 4 on the farm! The crew has been busy harvesting and we have a few new additions to add to the cooler today. We also have baked goods tomorrow (Friday). Full details below.

For veggies we have: sweet salad turnips, salad mix, sweet pea pods, radishes, micros, super salad, kale, spinach, cilantro, dill, carrots (limited), rhubarb and green onions. We have chicken, duck and goose eggs.

We also have fresh supply of honey, Nut Butter, maple syrup, jam, pickles, looseleaf, tea, soap, candles, coffee and lip balm.

We’ll have baked goods this week on Friday morning, June 5th at 11:00am until sold out. It’s fun for me to be baking again and we’re glad you enjoy an occasional sweet treat! Here’s what’s baking.
Sourdough sandwich bread: we make it in a loaf shape. It makes wonderful toast
Chocolate pie: homemade chocolate custard in a graham cracker crust with whipped topping
Rhubarb crisp: tis the season for garden-fresh rhubarb with a buttery oatmeal topping
Chewy oatmeal bars: these are a kid’s favorite with a chewy sweet oatmeal base and peanut butter chocolate topping
Brownie white chocolate cookies: a chocolatey cookie filled with white chocolate chips

Good morning from Barlow Roots Market! It is Tuesday, June 2. We have sourdough bread at the stand again today. I will update this post if it sells out.

It is Thursday May 28, here is what you can expect for the weekend. We do have some baked goods Friday, details below.

For fresh, organic veggies grown on our farm here is what you will find in the stand. Radishes, arugula bok choy, microgreens, chives, cilantro, salad mix, super salad (hearty greens mix with baby kale, herbs and other greens), oregano, rhubarb, peas pods (limited), spinach, salad turnips. Also in the cooler we have cold brew concentrate and duck, chicken and goose eggs.

Out on the counter look for a fun collection of locally crafted items like soaps, candles, tea, coffee, honey, jam, pickles, syrup, nut butter and more.

Baked goods Friday May 29, they will be put out at 11 am.
• Key lime pie: a lovely sweet, tart pie in graham cracker crust and with whipped topping. It says summer!
• Sour cream banana bars: moist bars frosted with a brown butter icing
• Lemon loaf cake: lovely when served with fresh strawberries or as a breakfast treat with a cup of coffee
• Peanut butter toffee cookies: a chewy peanut butter cookie studded with bits of toffee
• Sourdough bread: our traditional sandwich loaf

Update: bread is sold out. Pop up sourdough sales today at the farmstand! A local friend baked these organic, artisan loaves for us to sell. They are beautiful and delicious! Made from simple ingredients like organic flour, kosher salt and filtered water. Limited supply available.

We also have: Spinach, sweet salad turnips, super salad, salad mix, micro greens, bok choy, radishes, arugula, chives, chicken eggs, duck eggs and goose eggs.

Look for honey, maple syrup, nut butter, candles, soap, cold brew concentrate and fresh roasted coffee. We also have jam and pickles.

Located by the movie theater in Hudson, search Barlow Roots Market on any maps app to find us. We take cash or card at the self check out. Open Monday through Saturday 9 am to 7 pm.

The garden is in deep hibernation these days, and your farmers are doing well! We’ve been resting and spending lots of good time with friends and family.

We actually ate a few tomatoes from the garden, as well as the last of our lettuce from the garden a couple weeks ago. We’ve now stepped into the sad season of life where we are eating grocery store lettuce. 😢

We’ve started planning and buying seeds for spring and look forward to getting back in the soil. Admittedly we do also enjoy this quieter season as well.
