LF replacement heifers are very familiar with a bunk from a young age.

These ladies are yearlings and supplemented with a total mixed ration (TMR) daily to support them in a stage of life focused on growth.

Laying eyes on our cattle daily and acting fast when something is awry, is KEY! Whenever we notice a lameness, we try to assess the animal as soon as possible. The sooner you assess a lameness, the better, especially if a joint is potentially involved! You should ALWAYS consult with your veterinarian in cases like this! If you catch the lameness early, WE HAVE MANY TREATMENT OPTIONS!

Lucky for this heifer, the joint was not infection and she is expected to make a full recovery!
