This beautiful boy is Geo, and he is truly one of the sweetest souls we've ever known. He's not just a cat, he's a friend. A cuddle in your arms, reach up and gently touch your face with his paw kind of friend. The kind of friend who just wants to be near you, involved in your day, soaking in your love, and giving his.

Geo was adopted from us in January 2016 as a kitten, when he was just five months old. He had a home. He had a person. He had stability. But earlier this year, through no fault of his own, he came back to us. His person's life changed, and with heartbreak, she brought him back to us in February.

But Geo is struggling.

He's not thriving here. With so many other cats, the environment overwhelms him. He's withdrawn. Lonely. Sad. He's lost weight. He even stopped eating for a time, and though we got him through that with care and meds, the truth is, his heart is still really hurting.

What Geo needs more than anything is a home. A quiet, calm space where he can be loved the way he so deeply craves to be. He might do well with one or two gentle cat friends (he was once bonded to a brother who was given to another home), but ideally, Geo would love to be your one and only. Your shadow. your lap warmer. Your comfort and joy.

Geo is neutered, fully vaccinated, and in good health. He just needs a place to be himself again, to feel safe, to feel adored, to finally exhale and just be happy.

Y'all, I am exhausted. Supervising humans all day is no joke. I meowed, I paced, I napped (strategically), and I tried hard to keep the Assistant on task, but she pretty well did whatever she wanted, which in my opinion, was a pretty minimal amount.

Now it's late, the gang are winding down, and we just wanna say: Happy weekend from all of us! May your treats be plentiful and your naps uninterrupted. 😺Chloe & the gang

Morning! We have a friend whose cat has been missing since yesterday. They are not sure how or when exactly she slipped out. Her name is Princess, spayed, roughly 9 yrs old, no chip & wearing a pink collar with a couple charms ( one is a pineapple). She lives in the Oak St/George St area in Huntington. Today we're sending the biggest birthday wishes to one of our brightest lights at Jamie's Legacy, our lovely volunteer, Sydney!

Sydney has been volunteering with us every Tuesday for over a year now, and in that time, she has become such an important part of our sanctuary family. She's funny, she's smart (an honor student this year - go Sydney!), and she's endlessly kind. Her love for the cats shines through in everything she does, from giving them gentle pets and grooming sessions to making sure their spaces are clean, cozy, and cared for.

Watching Sydney grow over the past year and a half has been such a gift. This is our second birthday getting to celebrate her, and I truly hope it's just one of many more.

From me, and all the gang, Happy 14th Birthday, Sydney!! We are so lucky to know you! 🥰😻
