I’m still around just working at a very cool new job. It is in the nursing field but that’s all I can say about it publicly, it’s secret squirrel stuff. A very special career path & awesome coworkers and I just love it. It feels good to feel good again. Military Retirement: it’s awesome and was awesome but this is so much more rewarding to me. It’s also important to me to show my kids that things in life aren’t free, all of it is earned via hard & ideally rewarding work.
Remember it’s ok to not be ok and self-care is important working again for me was not for money, it was self-care. You are loved, and valued and I appreciate you all for your support these last 4 years with my chicken hobby.
I still have chickens, always will, momma didn’t raise no quitter. If you need birds or lice/mites stuff, I still have the website which is kept up to date. I do pickups after work or weekends I’m flexible still. I’ve got helpers during the week if you can’t make other times, we can work out special arrangements.
We still show these birds too, I didn’t quit the hobby, just added a scoop of delight to my personal life plate. I’m still married to non-farmer Ben too, my home life is fine, I just needed to be a nurse again, apparently 20 years wasn’t enough nursing practice.
