We are officially sold out of trees for 2021. Pre-tagged trees are available to pick up until this weekend, please call Brad at 717-389-2570 to arrange pick up if you haven’t already. We are still making wreaths and will have them available until December 20th. Thank you so much for making this a tremendous year. We sold just as many trees as we did in 2020, but in half the timeframe. Your support is so appreciated! We wish you the Merriest Christmas and we will see you in 2022! Brad and Ashley Hess 🌲

In order to preserve smaller trees that will become larger trees for next years season, we are no longer going to allow cutting from the field unless your tree was pre-tagged. We do have pre-cuts still available for this season. We also have wreaths and white pine roping available. This has been another unprecedented year for sales and we want to make sure that we will be viable for the years to come. Rest assured, we are continuing to plant each year! Thank you for your business and thank you for your understanding.

Opening day is just 2 days away! Just a friendly reminder, we accept cash and checks for payment. We do not accept credit cards.
Prices on trees this year vary from $7-$12/foot. It depends on the size and variety of tree.

Please read!
This year we will have a 6 foot minimum for trees to be cut out of the field at the farm. We have to make sure we allow trees to get big enough to be sellable in future years. The good news is that we will have some precuts that are smaller than 6 feet to choose from if a smaller tree is needed. In the event that a tree smaller than 6 feet is cut from the field, we will have to charge a premium price. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We do continue to plant each spring and we look forward to being your tree farm of choice for many years to come! Thanks for your understanding! 🌲

2 weeks and 2 days until Opening Day! We will be opening Thanksgiving Day at 3 pm! This year we will have Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, and Blue Spruce available for purchase as pre-cuts or cut your own spending on the variety. We also have ball and burlap Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce! We are looking forward to seeing you all SOON! 🌲

We spent yesterday morning having Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce balled and burlap trees dug from the farm for special orders and for the 2021 tree season! We will be opening on Thanksgiving Day for this year! If you’re interested in any of the trees posted prior to opening, please send us a message! 🌲🎄

We have been keeping busy since our last post! The trees were fertilized. Mowing around the trees has been done 4-5 time along with w**d control. This spring we planted around 500 transplants between 10-18 inches tall! The trees are growing good, but now the shearing has started. We will continue the mowing, fertilizing, and w**d control into the fall!

Congratulations to a good friend, Larry Snyder, on winning the national tree growers competition and presenting his tree to the First Lady this morning. Brad was able to help load the tree on the trailer to make its way down to DC. Here he is with the tree. 🌲

Don't worry, the spotted lanternfly won't affect your Christmas tree

Here is a great article to share about the spotted lantern fly and how they aren’t affecting Christmas Trees. Come out to Hess Tree Farm a week from today for opening day! Open Black Friday 9 am- 5 pm.

The pesky spotted lanternfly isn't likely to grinch up the holidays for anyone bringing a live or fresh-cut Christmas tree into their homes this winter.
