It is going to be another hot one today. I am taking to the end of the driveway some corn (good for making creamed corn), large okra (for frying), some bell peppers, some squash and a small bag of shelled purple hull peas. If you take the squash and peas, please either leave the cooler or bring it back later. All these vegetables will be under the "Free Uglies" sign and are free.
In the greenhouse refrigerator, I have 2 pounds of shelled butterbeans and several pounds of okra. The shelled beans are $8 a bag and the okra is $3 a pound. Help yourself if I'm not here (scales are in the office) and just leave the money under the laptop. I am still picking butterbeans and there will be several pounds by tomorrow morning if you want to shell your own.
We still have watermelons for chickens, pigs, horses, turtles, etc. My dogs love them. But if you want some watermelons, please come tomorrow (Friday) when Terry will be here.

Happy Sunday, all. Today we are selling out of the greenhouse until 2:30 pm. For anyone new to this site, Rum Ridge Farm is at 3125 Juliette road. Come down the gravel drive, over the dam and the greenhouse is the first building you come to. If you don't see anyone at the greenhouse, please blow your car horn.
Today we have peaches, watermelons, 7 lbs of okra, 5.5 lbs of unshelled butterbeans, 3 lbs of shelled butterbeans, and 15 lbs of unshelled purple hull peas. The small watermelons are $3 a piece. We also have hot pepper sauce and, for the first time, we have honey from the bees here on the farm.
There are many watermelons in the field that your chickens, pigs, horses, goats, etc would love to have. The dogs of Rum Ridge Farm love them, too. If you want to get these for your animals, we will help you pick them and load them.

We have free daylilies at the end of the driveway today. These are mostly orange and have a triple bloom. I will try to post a picture. We are thinning some daylilies and there will be more. Some of the clumps have many, many fans and you can get several plants from them. Easy to grow: Green side up and water and sun are all you need. A little bone meal will help, too.
Terry will be at the Chevron across from CVS tomorrow morning. We have watermelons, peaches, corn (maybe), lots of okra, some squash, pepper sauce and 2 lbs of shelled purple hull peas and one pound of shelled butterbeans.

Today we have 5lbs of greenbeans, 10lbs okra , 12 lbs unshelled purple hull peas , a little bit of squash and watermelons crimson sweet and yellow meat . As always let me know what you want and I will save it for you. Have a wonderful Thursday.

We have some watermelons that are too small to sell. So if you have chickens, turtles or anything that likes melons come get what you need for free. They are laying in the field help youself

Terry is at the Chevron across from CVS in Forsyth today. He has peaches, corn, cucumbers, yellow squash, one pound of shelled blackeyed peas, jalapenos for poppers, eggplant, and three varieties of watermelons. it is very hot today and cold watermelon is such a treat on a day such as this. We have crimson sweet, yellow meat and jubilee watermelons.
Purple hull peas and butterbeans are still producing but slowly in this heat.

Happy Saturday!!! Today from around 9:30 until 1:00 or 2:00, Terry will be at the Chevron across from CVS in Forsyth. We are still picking vegetables so we can't say exactly when he will be there.
Today we have silver queen corn and peaches (from Dickey's), watermelons, okra, cucumbers, homemade chow-chow and 1.5 lbs of shelled purple hull peas. Also, there is squash but I don't know how much because we are still picking it.
It's going to be a scorcher today so stay cool (remember cool?) and drink lots of water.

Today I will be at the chevron station across from C.V.S. until 2pm. I will have 3lbs of shelled purple hull peas, 1 lb of shelled blackeye peas , silver queen corn , peaches , jubilee , crimson sweet and yellow meat watermelons . The melons are $6.00 each or 2 for $10.00. Come see me for this deal on the watermelons and have a splendid Saturday.
