We had a great time up in Weston, Mo this weekend!!! OHM Concession Group puts on one of the coolest bbq contest every 18 months and the winner gets a (NIL) deal for a restaurant in the KC Airport!!! Jeremy Williams and I really enjoy this contest and have had some pretty good luck at it. This year wasn't our year though!! I will tell you that we where really happy with our turn-ins and thats never a good thing in the competition world!!!
We started off great and quickly got humbled as it happens all to often!!! I need to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Charles Winslow-bey for winning the GC!! We couldn't be happier for you and cant wait to eat at your place when traveling!!! We also have to congratulate The BUM!! Huge day for you Kevin and getting that RGC!!!
We ended up getting 3rd in the cocktail contest with a very refreshing 360 vodka mule!!
Chicken - 5th
Ribs - 14th - 1st on the table
Pork - 41st - this one hurt.. we really liked it but the judges didn't 🤷‍♂️
Brisket - 16th
We ended up 19th overall out of a stacked field of teams!!! We will be back 18 months!!!!

Just got a call.... it was a BIG ONE!!! I've been working with for over 2 years now with crazy results!! Well today they told me that will be going Nationwide to all 34 locations with 2 more being built right now!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen but it just did!!! Don't ever let anyone tell you, you cant do this.... I've heard it over and over and i just keep grinding!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!

What a NIGHT!!!! Jeremy Williams and I headed out to Lakeside Speedway for a night if Ribs-N-Racin put on by the Rib Cookoff Association !!! Bobby Oliver and Fast Eddie put on and ran an amazing event!!! I had never been to the dirt tracks before and it was a blast!! They are talking about doing another event in the fall and we wont miss it if they do!!!
As for the cook, we had a pretty good day and the judges agreed... Jeremy Williams ended up winning the GC and I took the RGC by .1 point... 😆 We absolutely love cooking these RCOA events!!! If you haven't, you need too!! Its all about the cooks and nothing but fun!!!

What a couple of crazy days... We decided to cook the Masters of the Midway contest in Gardner, KS. This was a great First year event!! The only bad thing was mother nature... Friday it rained alot and when it finally stopped it got ridiculously HOT.... with heat index it was 112 during turn ins!!! My ginger ass is not a fan of the heat....
We ended up having what we thought was pretty solid cook and the judges agreed!!
2nd place Chicken
2nd place Ribs
6th place Pork
4th place Brisket
This all added up to a 702 and some change and the GC!!! Huge Congratulations to our buddy on the RGC!!! We had a great spot surrounded by a lot of our good friends and it was a blast hearing you all get calls as well!!!
