Spent some quality time with my girl exploring farmstands, pumpkin patches and creameries. Everywhere I go I find inspiration for things to make for our little stand. I can’t wait to get back and start creating.

We visited Carmel Valley Creamery today. I love to find these little gems. I’d like to expand my knowledge of cheese making and venture into hard cheeses.

I wanted to send a shout out to Joe Potter who has been holding down the farm while I have been in the mainland helping my mom out, transitioning our son to another college, and attending a baby shower in honor of our first grandchild. Our farm requires that we conquer and divide. Having our dream farm has many challenges and one of them is that it is difficult to leave the property at the same time.

Joe has taken on my task of making sourdough bread to keep our farmstand open, making it possible to send our son to college. Joe is doing a fabulous job. If you need your weekly bread, come by and grab a sourdough bread this weekend at the stand at 8th and Maku’u. We will have scones and cookies back this weekend thanks to Amber Vasquez an angel of a friend that helps me bake. If you see Joe at the stand, and you probably will since he loves connecting with our farmstand Ohana, give him some encouragement.

I miss you all and baking for you. I will be returning 10/28, later than I had anticipated in order to assist my family in all these endeavors.
