August was our busiest month yet this year - filled with travel and family and friends visiting, so we’ve been a little quiet on this front. But please don’t take our silence here as silence on what popped up earlier this month: 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗹𝘆, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝟳𝟲𝟱𝗸𝗩 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆.
If you live anywhere near us, there’s a good chance you’ve already heard the rumblings. If you haven’t, now is the time to pay attention. This line would affect land, homes, farms, water, wildlife, and property values throughout southern Wisconsin, not just ours.
Here’s what we’re asking:
Talk to your neighbors. Talk to your friends. A lot of people still don’t know this is happening in their own backyard.
Get informed. Look into what a 765kV line actually means for the land and homes near it, not just the summary version.

This is one of the clearest ways your voice gets on record.
This isn’t a “not in my backyard” issue. It’s a “not in anyone’s backyard” issue. Southern Wisconsin has a lot to lose here, and we’re not staying quiet about it.
