🩶🩷. Meet Sweet “Ginny” The Price of Luxury. 🩶🩷

Do you think having 17 foals in one season on a small breeding farm is insanity?

We DID it!! 17 sweet babies, healthy and well.

Our last but not least is “Ginny”. “Ginny” cooked extra long: 363 days so we had no idea what we would get.

I was worried almost sick and watched Nugget like a hawk: and when she was ready, she delivered little “Ginny” like a pro. Nugget is a maiden and I spent a lot of time in her stall after delivering “Ginny” making sure she and her baby were okay; observing every breath, every movement, every nursing, every p**p, every p*e. “Ginny” gave me this little performance at day 2 to ease my mind!! This is her way of saying “mom, I am okay!”. Love her sweet face and her fun attitude. I would say she is feeling just fine. We decided to take it easy next year and are expecting just 6🙂🥰.

It is SO fun having my grandkids visit the HRR: they are experiencing farm life first hand from learning to throw a rope, ride a dirt bike, caring for young animals and birds and being entertained in the out doors!

With all the fun things comes the chores, the commitment and the life lessons they learn by participating.

My hope and my prayer is that they grow up loving farm life and carry wonderful memories with them forever.

Barney was born here and we were so excited for his future. When he came home from nearly two years of training, we didn’t know if he would ever recover.

Charlie and Marita have been quietly and gently bringing Barney back to work and when I looked out yesterday I saw a glimpse of what he once was. He is happy, healthy and sound again.
