🍓🍓Strawberry Update 5/29🍓🍓

Every day we are seeing more and more color out in the field! Still not enough though to think about picking yet…BUT!! We did pick a few quarts today before the birds got to them.

We will be down at the bottom of the driveway TODAY, at 3:30. I promise you these will be gone quickly so do not make a special trip. If you’re happening to drive by and see us down there stop by and grab a quart. Quarts are $7 each, cash only today. We are getting closer!

A short walk through the patch this evening yielded a few tasty snacks!! Still not enough to think about picking yet, but enough to get us excited!

🍓🍓Strawberry Field Update 5/27🍓🍓

We know everyone is very patiently waiting for the start of our strawberry season, and trust us, we are too! There are endless numbers of little green berries out here right now. If I have to guess I would say we are 7-10ish days out from picking. Don’t worry, we will update our page every couple of days to keep everyone in the loop!

From now until we open up you will find us pulling weeds from the fields, moving next years runners and gently taking care of these baby berries until they are ready to find a bucket! Thank you for your patience and we will see you very soon!!🍓🍓

Stop down at the bottom of the driveway for some goodies! We have tomato plants, marigolds, petunias, snapdragons, hanging baskets and free range eggs! As always this is an honor system…please leave your money in the lockbox located on the wagon.

We are looking for a Lawn Care Worker to join our landscaping team! You will:

· Use mowers, string trimmers, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants, foliage, and flower beds.

· Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

· Drive a truck to various client locations
and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport.

· Occasionally, work on the farm in our Christmas tree and strawberry fields.

· Drivers license a MUST!

· Experience with lawn care and basic landscaping (preferred but not required).

· Must be dependable and punctual!

Ten years after Foothill Farm was established in Lehighton, the torch has officially been passed to the next generation of Salernos.

My wife Lauren, our two children Ellie and Jack, and I are proud to carry on the Foothill Farm tradition. I’ve been involved with the farm since the very beginning, and that isn’t changing—I’m eager to continue growing the farm while introducing new ideas and opportunities. My parents will still play important roles at the farm, and we’re thankful to keep building on the strong foundation they laid.

In 2025, my younger brother Christian expanded the business to include lawn care and landscaping, and thanks to its success, that part of the business will keep growing.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Foothill Farm over the past 10 years. Your support means a great deal to our family, and we look forward to many more years ahead!🌲
