That would be a sight that would alarm me!!

A reminder that if you leave a hummingbird feeder out even after your seasonal visitors have moved on, there’s still a chance a unique late-season migrator could stop by.

This Rufous Hummingbird showed up close to Halloween and stayed through the first week of December, surviving through heavy snow and subzero temperatures.

Absolutely true!!!

Did you know a dairy cow can lose up to 200 lbs when she starts producing milk?

you can have the prettiest labels and the best marketing in the county and your milk will still be mediocre if your cow’s nutrition isn’t dialed in. She’s going to lose weight and fast. And the metabolic problems will pour in after that.

Everyone wants to talk packaging and customer waitlists before they’ve even looked at their mineral and feed program. and i get it, the business stuff feels exciting. but the milk is only as good as what’s going into that cow.

the magic isn’t in the milk. it starts with the cow. get her right first. everything else follows.

I am so thankful I’ve found other farmers & feed companies to help me learn. (And I still have so much to learn.) But high production dairy cows are needy littler critters… don’t say I didn’t warn you. 🫠
