This month our featured artist is Lyons local, Amanda Anderson!

For over thirty years, Amanda has carried a painting practice first passed down by her grandmother. Today, this deeply personal foundation intersects with Amanda’s daily life as a professional seamstress in the exhibition "Birds of a Feather Flock Together." The title reinterprets the classic proverb to reveal the artist and the wild bird as kindred creators, both driven by the instinct to gather, recycle, and build.

Inspired by wild birds harvesting discarded human textiles for nesting material, Amanda integrates her own studio fabric waste directly onto the easel. Working in a surrealist style, Amanda builds the birds with expressive, impressionistic oil brushwork, while physically embedding the discarded textiles into the surface. The work reflects on legacy, domestic utility, and the instinctive ways we all build a home from the fragments left behind.

Amanda's opening night is Friday, September 4th at 6 PM.

Plus, our pizza special for the week is the Elote pizza. We know y'all love this one!
Hand-stretched dough, cilantro and elote seasoned crema base, mozzarella, cheddar and monterey jack, chorizo, roasted corn, and red onions. We finish this pizza with an avocado cilantro crema, a squeeze of lime, cilantro, grated Cotija cheese and crushed red peppers.
