Three Angels Family Farm

Three Angels Family Farm Live in moments that matter. We're proud to offer locally grown lavender and handmade products. In 2020 we planted 300 more lavender plants. We are so excited!

Our family farm was started in 2018 with the purchase of our farm. We had lived in Champaign for 12 years when we decided in order to make this dream a reality we needed more land. We found a perfect piece of property that had plenty of space to begin our new journey! During 2019 we planted our first crop of 300 lavender, plants, alfalfa and continued with our children's products. We removed buds

and pruned our hearts out in 2020 to make sure we allowed our plants to develop the best root systems possible! In 2021 we added 202 more lavender plants to the farm. It takes 3 years for lavender plants to be fully grown so 2021 will be the first year we can cut flowering lavender.

We are not going to be at the Urbana Farmers Market this weekend. This year we are going to be at a show every other week. We need to focus on some big projects on the farm. In order to have enough time for that we are scaling back a little on getting out to shows and events. Don't worry though! You can always order from our website or catch us where we will be. We will see you again on the 23rd at the Urbana Farmers Market if we don't see you before then!!

Let's play a little game! Dead or Alive?!? This time of year here in central Illinois is hard on lavender, so much rain, back and forth warm and cold. We try and avoid going out into the field much to determine life until Mother's Day. Well today I did a field walk and I will say that the field is interesting this year. So I won't feel better about it for a few more weeks but I will say it looks like our lavender plants are about 2-3 weeks behind schedule. So if your lavender plants look like this just let them be for now. I will let you know when I deem ours officially dead but for now play the game, is the plant below dead or alive?!?!

What's Up Wednesday! Oh vey, it has been a busy week on the farm.

We had our first two shows of the season (it was so wonderful to see everyone).

We finished planting all the pine trees! It will be awhile until I want to plant another pine tree!

We are hoping to get the rest of the lavender hardened off so it can go out into the field in the next week or so. The weather really needs to stop frosting!!

The queen bees are happily making more newbees :)

One of the angels got sick :(

Overall it has been a very productive but very busy week! We will be at the Urbana's Market at the Square on Saturday! Hope to see you there!!
