WE GOT THE APPROVALS.

After a full year of planning, countless emails, numerous meetings, and a whole lot of patience, we officially have our final approvals from Clay Township for Glasshouse Vineyards.

Which means… we can finally FULL SEND.

Renovations on the Stevens tasting room and w**ery production space can officially move forward, and we’re working toward a soft launch during the holiday season, with the new retail space open on select weekends. Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing progress along the way and announcing our holiday market hours as we get closer. 🎄🍷

And tonight’s celebration bottle feels especially fitting.

We’re drinking a 2012 Dry Riesling Reserve from Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard that we picked up during our last to the Finger Lakes in 2024. That trip was also when we first started talking with their nursery about sourcing vines for this crazy vineyard idea of ours.

At the time, the vineyard was mostly a plan.

Now there are vines in the ground, a w**ery and tasting room ready to be built out, and—finally—the approvals that let us move forward.

It’s taken a lot to get here, and there’s still plenty of work ahead. But tonight, we’re drinking the good bottle.

Stevens, here we come. 🥂

This is 40, apparently. 😂🍇

A new well going in, a few acres that needed mowing, vineyard rows to maintain, and one dog who decided the freshly drilled well site looked like the perfect place for a walk. 🐾

To give credit where it’s due, Greg tackled most of the property before moving on to mow between the vines. I jumped in to finish up the rest — which feels like a pretty appropriate way to kick off 40.

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at Glasshouse Vineyard lately. The new well is a BIG step forward for the w**ery, and meanwhile the regular work of taking care of this place doesn’t exactly stop. Mowing, weeds, vines, projects… repeat.

But then you get a sunset like this over the vineyard and remember why you’re doing all of it.

Slowly but surely, this place is taking shape. 🍷🌱

Fall has officially arrived in Market Square!

Krista traded w**e glasses for gardening gloves and gave the Market Square planters their fall refresh — complete with pumpkins, ornamental kale, and plenty of autumn color. 🍁

These seasonal planters are a project funded by the Manheim Chamber as part of our ongoing efforts to keep downtown Manheim looking welcoming, vibrant, and ready for every season.

A big shoutout to the Manheim Borough’s public works team for keeping these planters watered all throughout the year for us!
