Since Food is our Sustenance, what do you all think about the Citizens becoming more involved? We just came across this information that is being issued by the FDA. Food for Thought, quite literally...

Today, we’re announcing a broad, nationwide recruitment effort to fill vacancies on FDA’s advisory committees – the independent expert bodies that inform some of the most consequential decisions in American public health. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-launches-nationwide-effort-expand-scientific-expertise-and-consumer-voices-advisory-committees

Advisory committees are a cornerstone of FDA’s science-based, transparent regulatory process. They bring together clinicians, scientists, and patient and community advocates to provide independent recommendations that help us make well-informed decisions on behalf of the American public.

To learn more and to submit a nomination, visit FDA’s centralized application portal at http://www.fda.gov/advisory-committees/advisory-committee-membership/applying-membership-fda-advisory-committees.
