🌸 One Last Market Day 🌸

Well, friends, it’s hard to believe, but tomorrow will be my last farmers market of the season!

With rain in the forecast, and a little traveling coming up, it’s time to wrap things up for the year.

So, if there’s something you’ve had your eye on, **tomorrow is your last chance to shop with me at the market until next year!**

I’ll be bringing a little bit of everything, artwork, bookmarks, cards, and other handmade goodies.

I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, browse a little, and maybe find something special to take home.

Cute floral pumpkins for fall at the market today til noon

Good morning! I’m back at the market today. No flowers as they got hit with a light frost but I have a fresh batch of pumpkins, art and more. I also have just two cards with matching bookmarks. Stop on by today 8-12 at the fairgrounds

I finished knocking down the field yesterday and was so excited to start laying paper and hay for the future Perennial Garden Walk today…but the wind had other plans.

So instead, I wandered around the gardens and did a little puttering.

I swapped one of the arbors in the parterre for an arbor bench and moved the old arbor to a new spot, creating an exit that points toward a table. Then I hung a chandelier from it and I absolutely love it😊

I added some sweet autumn clematis to climb the arbor too, and it smells so lovely right now.

And while I was wandering, there was plenty to stop and enjoy Fruity Petals rose blooming, dahlias putting on their late season show, and all those little moments in the garden that are easy to miss when I’m focused on the next job.

The new arbor bench is looking a little lonely at the moment. It definitely needs some plant friends surrounding it, but those will come in time.

Today wasn’t the productive day so far but that’s okay. Sometimes it’s nice to just putter, rearrange a few things, and enjoy the garden that’s already here. FlowerFarm

I’m finishing knocking down my field, and the last row I’m working on is the reason you don’t put mint directly in the ground. 😂

But I’m stubborn, and sometimes I have to learn things the hard way.

That being said, it’s kind of a sweet job because mint smells AMAZING. I’m harvesting bundles to use in my chicken coop throughout the winter, for tea, and for syrup. I’ll have plenty and I have a feeling it’s probably going to be here for quite some time. 😅

Still, it feels good to make progress. I’m almost done, and then I can start covering the field, putting my hay down, and dreaming about what this space could look like next year.

I’m always looking for ideas, if you were creating a perennial garden walk, what’s one plant you’d absolutely have to include?
