Shannon: “Nick, I think I want to order some Silkies.”
Me: “Shannon, we already have our plate full.”
Shannon: “But their eggs are so pretty, and they’re so fuzzy and cute!”
Me: “No, let’s wait until it’s a better time.”
Shannon: “I’m just going to look for breeders.”
Me (talking to the wind): “Okay, just look—but don’t actually order yet.”
