Our farm store offers yarn, rovings, rugs, blankets, duvets, home goods, and alpaca apparel. Flying Iron Ranch is located on the beautiful western slope of Colorado, high on a mesa in Ouray County. Our alpacas feature very diverse bloodlines and we specialize in breeding, showing and selling the highest quality alpacas from the Jeremiah, Zephyrus and Quechua lines just to name a few. Ranch offers herdsire breedings to our champion males in addition to sale of their offspring and females bred to those males. We also have a few pet/fiber quality alpacas available for the fiber artist and alpaca enthusiast. Mentoring new breeders is essential to expanding our industry, so Flying Iron Ranch offers mentoring and agisting for those who are not quite ready for alpacas on a full time basis . Flying Iron Ranch is heavily involved in Colorado agritourism, as we conduct many farm tours and community special events. FIR is proud to present our AOA awards for the 2026 Show Season. Since our start in 2014, we have consistently moved up the ranks! Now 2nd Place out of 50 medium farms for fleece production and 6th Place out of 53 medium farms for huacaya breeding. Now retired(Finally!) from our dermatology practice, we can focus fully on our alpaca operation and enjoy Colorado living fulltime!
