We all need to start somewhere.

Having euthanized my favorite red mare the evening before this show, I'm reminding myself of the hot rides Wes and I both had on Kate.

Half a lap before this video started, Penny offered to leap into some bucks. I dealt with that and 2-handed the remainder of the fire breathing ride.

Truth? I rode Kate hunter partly so I could ride 2 handed, on contact.

Her chapter ended- it's time for Penny's to begin.

I have so many favorite parts to the shows we hit- but I can't express the joy in my heart over this dynamic.
The Crafter's Mill and Mr. Crafter's Mill are absolutely family to us. I always know Lucas is safely monitored ❤️🥰

Entered a horsemanship class today...not because we're ready but because we need the practice.

Remembering these simple old school patterns compared to the complicated ranch riding patterns is much more my love language!

My eyes are swollen and I slept like garbage but we're headed to the horse show!

Hope I packed enough snacks!

And yes...that's my horse show cooler-because I have whatever personality profile that never actually buys a real cooler.
