🍉 Well… you cleaned us out! 🍉

We’re currently OUT of watermelons. Mother Nature’s been a little challenging the last couple weeks, so we’re waiting on the next batch to ripen up.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as they’re ready! 🌽🍈🍉

Never a dull moment when some of the family comes down to the farm 😂🌽🍉

They put in a lot of work throughout the season and have been a huge help getting things ready for marketing the sweet corn and melons.

Packer’s Patch really is a family-and-friends operation. There’s no way we could do all of this by ourselves, and we sure appreciate everyone who pitches in.

And yes… believe it or not, these two are completely SOBER. 😂 This is pretty much how it is ALL the time!

We couldn’t ask for much better help or entertainment! Thanks for everything you do for Packer’s Patch!

🌽🍉 Well… that escalated quickly! 😂

Packer’s Patch is officially rolling! Sweet corn is bagged, melons are piling up, and apparently quality control has already started on the watermelon. 🤣🍉
Come get it before Farmer Jr. eats the profits! 🌽🍈🍉

🌽🍈 PACKER’S PATCH — IT’S TIME TO ROLL! 🍉🌽
Farmer Jr. has made the call… we’re opening for the 2026 season! 🚜☀️

📅 Opening Day: Wednesday, August 19th
⏰ Starting at 12:00 PM
📍 13559 Black Road, Morrison, Illinois

Things are starting to come together at the Patch! Our second batch of sweet corn is ready, and we’ll have a limited amount of fresh muskmelons available.

🍉 The watermelons are looking great, but Mother Nature says they need just a couple more days — they’ll be coming soon!
And we’re kicking things off with some simple farm-fresh pricing…

🌽 Sweet Corn — $4/dozen
🍈 Muskmelons — $4 each
🍉 Watermelons — $4 each when they’re ready!

☀️🍉 Happy Saturday from Packer’s Patch! 🌽🎃

A little look at where it all starts and what’s coming! The weather has tested us the last couple weeks, but things are moving along.

🍉 Watermelons & muskmelons are getting closer — we’re hoping for the end of next week!
🌽 Sweet corn should be coming along around the same time.
🎃 And those pumpkins are growing and maturing nicely — fall will be here before we know it!

We’re letting Mother Nature do her thing and giving everything the time it needs so we can bring you fresh, quality produce that’s worth the wait.

🌽🍉 8/13/26 PACKER’S PATCH UPDATE! 🍉🌽

We’ve had a lot of calls and messages asking about our sweet corn and melons, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update!
Things are looking good, and right now it looks like we should start having fresh produce ready toward the end of next week!
We’re getting really close to the start of the season, and we’ll keep everyone updated as things become ready.

We appreciate everyone reaching out and supporting Packer’s Patch. We’re looking forward to another great season! 🌽🍉

This event has become a tradition for so many families and friends, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back this fall.

A message from the Patch:

Every year when August rolls around, it reminds us why we love doing this.

Nearly 80 years ago, my great-grandparents started growing watermelons. Over the years our family has always grown something, whether it was watermelons, sweet corn, pumpkins, or melons. Spending time in the field has always been part of who we are.

Today, my mom and dad still put in countless hours caring for the crops. Family friends are always willing to lend a hand, my aunts never hesitate to jump in when things get busy, and now our kids are out helping too. Seeing the fifth generation working alongside everyone else is something we’re incredibly thankful for.

This is only our second year sharing our produce with the public. We don’t have a huge farm attraction we simply set out what we’ve worked hard to grow and enjoy visiting with the people who stop by. Some are neighbors, some drive quite a distance, and every conversation reminds us why we decided to do this.

Sweet corn is just about ready, the melons are coming along nicely, and the pumpkins are growing every day. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but we’re excited for what’s to come.

To everyone who has stopped by, shared a kind word, or supported our family these last two years, thank you. We truly appreciate it, and we look forward to seeing both familiar faces and first time visitors this season.
