At the Gold Bar Omakase — held in the Grand Concourse of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans — Andrei Marcu of presented cocktails as courses, each with an elevated pairing.

The standout: the Rye Doughnut — combining smoke-washed Beverly High Rye with lavender cordial, toasted rye liqueur, acidic mandarin juice, peach wine, and doughnut foam.

The exceptional brought to life in New Orleans.

Full recipe below:

2 oz Beverly High Rye
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz agave
2 blackberries
Mint leaves
Sparkling water

Combine lime juice, agave, blackberries, and mint. Muddle all ingredients in shaker. Add whiskey and shake. Double strain into a Collins glass with crushed ice. Top with sparkling water.

Add dehydrated blackberry sugar rim with mint sprig and blackberry garnish.
