MacDonald Farm MacDonald Farm is a small family-owned farm that produces pasture raised eggs and vegetables grown with a focus on nutrition and quality.

Our produce can be purchased at our farm stand located at 218 Prentiss Street located in Orange, Massachusetts. MacDonald Farm is a small family farm committed to producing quality food. We believe the key to human health is healthy soil; our passion is to nurture ecosystems that increase soil biodiversity. We strive to regenerate soil and build habitat for our livestock and also for wildlife. For our produce this means we don’t use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We practice no-till techniques that help keep our soil covered which in turn keeps our microbes healthy. We are able to encourage diverse soil microbiology by applying compost and mulches. All of our animals are raised on pasture during the growing season and moved regularly to fresh grass. We feed our chickens non-GMO grain. Currently we have chicken eggs available; $5 a dozen. These are available to pick up on the farm, just send us a message and we’ll gladly help you!

Thank you to all who have come by the farm stand and supported us! The farm stand just opened in May and we are still getting the word out. If you know of anyone who might be interested in supporting local farms and want to eat “like a farmer” please spread the word!😀

Sugar snap peas at the “farmer’s fridge”today!

Fresh picked this morning, this sweet treat is best enjoyed with the shell however they can also be shelled and eaten with out the pod.

Fresh picked baby beets and eggs as well.

Pickling cukes are about a week away and we will have bulk prices for 1/2 and whole bushels.

Garlic is coming soon, we are starting to harvest!

We are open seven days a week during daylight hours.

What a beautiful time of year! Check out the great views on the farm today.

We have plenty of beets at the farm stand: -small ones for greens
-Larger ones for greens and eating
-bulk bagged for canning or lots of eating!

Come by and check out the “Farmer’s Fridge”

All of our produce is grown here, washed if necessary and then put directly into the fridge for optimal freshness. Stock is regularly checked and replenished as needed.

Strawberry season is almost over for us, maybe one more week.

Currently in the fridge there are strawberries, beets, chard, eggs and there will be fresh lettuce mix this afternoon.

The farm stand is self-serve and open during daylight hours seven days a week. Bring cash or you can use Venmo or PayPal.

It has been a busy time on the farm the last month, we welcomed a new baby to our family and have been working on all sorts of spring projects.

One of the projects has been our farm stand. We have been working on getting the farm stand up and running and as of today, we are open! We have eggs and rhubarb available today with more veggies coming in June. We can’t take credit cards yet, but we have QR codes for Venmo and PayPal and take cash.

We look forward to seeing some of you in person at the farm!
