🍴👩‍🍳 19 Years in the Culinary Classroom! 👩‍🍳🍴

It’s hard to believe, but I officially started my 19th year teaching culinary arts! 🎉

For those who may not know, I teach at McFarland High School, where I get to share my love of food and cooking with students through Introduction to Foods, Taste of Culture, Baking & Pastries, and Advanced Foods. 🌎🥐🍪

One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching students discover that cooking is about so much more than following a recipe. It’s creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, trying something new, and sometimes learning from a few kitchen disasters along the way! 😂

I truly love sharing my passion for cooking with the next generation and watching students gain confidence in the kitchen. Every year brings a new group of students, new recipes, new challenges, and plenty of memories.

And I have to say, I’m incredibly grateful for my Park View family who supports all of my crazy food adventures both in the classroom and at the farm. ❤️🌽🥧

Here’s to year 19—let’s see what we can cook up! 👩‍🍳❤️

🍎🫐 One Last Day of Vacation… and We Put It to Good Use! 🫐🍎

Tomorrow we head back to school, but I couldn’t let my last day of summer go by without getting a little more Harvest Fest prep done! 🎃🍂

The kitchen has been busy! We made many jars of Triple Berry Pie Filling 🫐🍓 and a whopping 36 quarts of Apple Pie Filling 🍎🥧 — because clearly, we’re planning on making A LOT of pies! 😉

And because you all had us completely cleaned out of Strawberry Rhubarb Jam, we had to make another batch and get that restocked too! 🍓🌿

The countdown to Harvest Fest is officially on! 🎃🍁

🐖 PORK ORDERS ARE OPEN! 🐖

Park View Farmstead is excited to be offering whole or half pigs again this fall! 🎉

Our pigs will be heading to Hoesley’s in New Glarus in the middle of October, and now is the perfect time to start thinking about filling those freezers for the fall and winter. ❄️

Stock your freezer with quality, locally raised pork that you can feel good about feeding your family all season long. From bacon and chops to sausage, roasts, and everything in between—you’ll be set for some seriously delicious meals! 🥓🍖

🍒 CHERRY PIE FILLING UPDATE! 🍒

Fear not, pie lovers… the cherry pie filling stock has officially been updated! 😂🙌

We’ve got 35 QUARTS of delicious cherry pie filling ready to go! That means plenty of future Park View Farmstead pies are in the works. 🥧❤️

So if you were worried that the cherry pie shortage had become a permanent situation… WE HAVE A PLAN. 😆

35 quarts today = lots of delicious cherry pies later this year! 🍒🥧

From the Bottom of Our Hearts ❤️

As we wrap up another summer at Park View Farmstead, we just want to say THANK YOU. ❤️

This year was truly something special. The amount of support, encouragement, kind words, repeat visits, and new faces we saw throughout the summer was honestly overwhelming—in the very best way.

Every pie purchased, loaf of bread taken home, bag of sweet corn, dozen eggs, cookie, cinnamon roll, and every single visit meant more to us than you probably realize. You supported our little farm, our kitchen, and the dream we’ve poured so much time and love into.

We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who stopped by, told a friend, shared a post, brought family along, or simply cheered us on from afar.

What started as a little farmstand has become something we are incredibly proud of, and that is because of YOU.

Thank you for making this summer one we will never forget. We are already looking forward to what next year will bring! 🌽🥧❤️
