🌱✨ A little sneak peek from Roots Farm… today these colorful flags become something even better — rows filled with the amazing plants our Lower School students started from seed and will proudly plant with their own hands.

Basil, peppers, tomatoes, marigolds, and lots of muddy boots, teamwork, and joy ahead. 💚🚜🌱

The fields are ready… let the planting begin!

🎃 A Pumpkin Tale from Roots Farm! 🎃🌱

Kindergarten joined Farmer Hood in the fields today, returning as a team to harvest the sugar pumpkins they planted way back in June! 👩‍🌾✨ With little hands, big smiles, and plenty of farmyard giggles, they pulled up the fruits of their hard work.

Now these tiny farmers are ready to become little chefs—stay tuned to see what delicious pumpkin creations they’ll cook up in November with Chef Staley! 👩‍🍳🧡

Sunrise at Roots Farm 🌞 — where community, kindness, and hard work grow side by side.

A huge thank-you to our Upper School students, Tom Hood ’77, and our Head of Middle School for joining Farmer Hood at daybreak to harvest pumpkins and care for the land. 🍂🎃

Moments like these remind us that the heart of Roots beats strongest when generations work together — from students to alumni to school leaders — all lending a hand for the good of the farm and each other. ❤️

Dr. Hood makes house calls! 🩺🦃
Abe, one of our Black Spanish turkeys, needed a little TLC today — so Farmer Hood stepped in for a quick check-up. 💛
We’re happy to report that Abe is back to strutting proudly and both farmer and turkey are feeling just fine!

Never a dull moment at Roots Farm — the patients here tend to have feathers, not appointments. 😉
