The Guild BT-258E Deluxe Baritone is built for players drawn to deeper tones and wider sonic landscapes.

A solid Sitka spruce top paired with rosewood back and sides delivers rich resonance and depth, while the slim C-shape neck and pau ferro fingerboard offer a comfortable playing experience. Equipped with a Fishman-designed GT-1 pickup system, it’s ready to bring its powerful extended-range voice from the studio to the stage.

Welcome to part 8 of our Factory Friday video series, where we highlight the craftsmanship behind every USA-built* Guild coming out of our Ventura County, CA factory.

This week, we focus on buffing — the final step in the finishing process. After a guitar has been painted and cured, high-speed rotating cloth wheels and abrasive compounds are used to remove microscopic scratches, slightly heat the finish to flow, and bring the surface to a high-gloss, mirror-like shine.

In this video, you can see a D-55 getting buffed.

Follow along as each instrument reaches the final stage of craftsmanship, one step at a time.

The D-50 Standard is responsive to a light touch as well, thanks in part, perhaps, to the scalloped top bracing and the very vocal way you can move between loud and soft. Feathered strumming also highlights the D-50’s excellent dynamic range."' - Premier Guitar on the Guild D-50 guitar.

Welcome to part 7 of our Factory Friday video series, where we highlight the craftsmanship behind every USA-built* Guild coming out of our Ventura County, CA factory.

This week, we give you an insight into the finishing and painting — the stage where the guitar’s vision truly comes to life. The process involves preparing the wood, applying stain or paint, and sealing it with protective clear coats to achieve a smooth, durable, and aesthetic finish.

In this video, you’ll see a beautiful burst finish being applied to both a dreadnought and a jumbo-style acoustic.

Follow along as each instrument reaches its final form, one step at a time.

Welcome to part 6 of our Factory Friday video series, where we highlight the craftsmanship behind every USA-built* Guild coming out of our Ventura County, CA factory.

This week, we focus on neck fitting — one of the most critical steps in the build process. The neck heel is precisely shaped to match the body’s mortise, creating a tight, gap-free, and aligned joint.

This is happening on various USA acoustics, including an M-20 and an F-512.
Follow along as each instrument continues to take shape, one step at a time.
