It's September, so our hot take is that it’s officially pumpkin season. It’s pepper, pumpkin, and eggplant season around here.

Farm scenes this week:
- Pumpkins!
- Turned a bumper crop of habaneros into habanero jam and pickled habaneros. Now available at Rooted Here. The jam is sweet and spicy, made with plenty of habanero peppers - use it over cream cheese on toast or with crackers, over bread for sweeter sandwiches, in a charcuterie board with cheeses, or as a glaze or marinade on meats.
- We have a few mini-me watermelons left. These sweet little watermelons are perfectly sized for one person and sweet all the way down to the rind!

- Pumpkins and winter squash are coming in and now available

- Last of the cherry tomatoes picked and turned into sun dried tomatoes

Peppers are coming in strong, zinnias are glorious, winter squash is beginning (delicata, acorn, butternut, and buttercup varieties), and it's time to pull up the early cukes and tomatoes and put some late season ones in.

Our farm sign is up (h/t to J&N Towing, our neighbors who gave us this old truck door for the sign and friend John who helped Bill install it)!

Peppers are loaded! Cantaloupes are starting to come in.

New lemon cukes are starting to come in (h/t to neighbor Kim for the plants). These are an heirloom cucumber named for their lemon-like appearance. They don't have the bitter skin cucumbers have and make good picklers. Our regular picklers are about done, but these are just beginning.

Peppers are here, all kinds! Banana, poblano, green bell, purple bell, lunchbox, and jalapeno.

Habenaro, cayenne, mad hatter, and red bell will be ready soon.

Cukes and tomatoes are still coming in strong too.
