Mound View Farms

Mound View Farms Family owned and operated since 1913. We operate a 300 acre certified organic farm in southern Ohio. We are near Serpent Mound. We truly enjoy the life we live.

Our farm is called Mound View Farms and has been in the family for over 100 years. We have our own water, firewood, beef, milk, eggs, honey, fruit, pork and a very large garden. We raise all the feed for our livestock organically. We run around 50 beef cattle, we have some horses and some Jersey milk cows for milk, cheese, and butter. We can, freeze and store about 90% of what we eat. We have a we

Well darn ! Bearing went out, locked up the left gearbox, made the slip clutch get hot. By the time I saw it, the corn stalks on it were on fire. Set the field on fire and had to call the fire department. Not much damage. The pto guards and a couple hydraulic hoses. Not to mention the gear box. All in a days work on the farm.

Canning and freezing season is in full swing here on the farm. Potatoes canned and frozen), green beans, cabbage, broccoli, and relish. We have corn coming on as well as Brussel sprouts. We've also harvested chickens and a hog and made lard.
