🌿 Please join us at Rhythm Seed Farm in welcoming these incredible musicians for an evening of music, connection, and community.

These two first met while performing at Conscious Growth last year. Inspired by one another’s artistry and shared commitment to healing through music they are now touring together across the Pacific Northwest.

We’re honored to host one of those special evenings as they carry their songs across the region, bringing hearts, voices, and communities together along the way.

We hope you’ll join us for this beautiful night in the garden.

🌻 SUMMER WORK PARTY AT RHYTHM SEED FARM! 🌻

The farm is in full summer abundance and things are getting a little WILD. Our pathways are being taken over, plants are flopping over, and seed crops need some love as we head into harvest season.

Join us August 2 & 9 from 9 AM–1 PM to get your hands in the soil and help us with weeding, mulching, staking, clearing pathways, and setting up seed crops.

🌿 Volunteer perk: We have plenty of Japanese mugwort growing at the farm! Volunteers are welcome to harvest some to take home.

💧 PLEASE BRING LOTS OF DRINKING WATER. It’s summer, we’ll be working outside, and hydration is key.

Come help us tend the abundance, meet some good people, and spend a morning in the garden. 💚

🌱 Placemaking is about more than transforming a space, it’s about creating places where community can take root.

Rhythm Seed Farm is proud to be part of the work of the Portland Placemaking Coalition, alongside DeRose Community Bridge, bringing people and organizations together to reimagine and care for shared spaces across Portland.

The work itself can look like digging, hauling, building, planting, clearing, and getting our hands dirty. But underneath it is something much bigger: creating welcoming, connected places where communities can gather, learn, grow food, build relationships, and feel a deeper sense of belonging.

Rhythm Seed Farm is one part of this larger ecosystem of people working toward a more connected, resilient Portland. 🌿

Join us tomorrow, July 29 from 8 AM–12 PM, at McDaniel High School for an Invasive W**d Removal Party!

We’re teaming up with the McRoots Sustainable Agriculture Program to clear an overgrown hillside and make way for an edible landscape + native plant garden for students, wildlife, and the community. 💚

Our last couple work parties have been a VERY small but mighty crew of just 1–3 volunteers, so we could really use some extra hands this Wednesday. And remember... we’re doing it for the children!! 😂🌱

🎉 Volunteer perk: The People’s Courts donated 6 All-Day Game Passes for folks who come out and help!

Come for an hour or stay for the whole morning, every extra set of hands makes a difference. 💪🌻

Evening Sun Sunflowers are popping off, and they are super beautiful and incredibly prolific. 🌻

Keep harvesting the top heads, and more and more flowers will grow or you can save the seeds like we do to plant next year. We love this plant. 💛

When you get a moment out in the garden, take a close look at the center of these flowers and get lost in the sacred geometry of the seed heads. The intricate patterns and spirals found throughout nature are the best kind of medicine.

Such beauties. 🌀✨

Join us for an Invasive W**d Removal Party at McDaniel High School as we partner with the McRoots Sustainable Agriculture Program to transform an overgrown hillside into a thriving edible landscape and native plant garden that will nourish students, wildlife, and the community for years to come. 💚

Here’s the thing, if we don’t clear this hillside now, we’ll miss our window to prepare it for fall planting. Before we can plant native flowers, vegetables, and pollinator habitat, we have to reclaim the land first.

We know this volunteer opportunity is hard work, but remember... we’re doing this for the children! So far, our last two work parties have had only 1–2 volunteers, and we could really use the extra hands and support.

🎉 Volunteer Perk!
The folks over at The People’s Courts, just across the street, have generously donated 6 All-Day Game Passes for volunteers!

Each pass includes unlimited access to bocce, ping pong, and co****le (all non-pickleball games).

After our July 25 work party, we’re hoping to celebrate together with a community hangout across the street!
We will prioritize folks who have worked for the most hours that day.

🌞 Please bring:
💧 Water
🧤 Thick gloves
☀️ Protection from the sun & prickly vines
📍 Parking
Park at 2833 NE 82nd Ave (next to Glenhaven Park), then walk south toward the ball fields.

You’ll find us on the hillside beside the large greenhouse.
McDaniel High School students may be joining us, and we’d love for them to see what a community can accomplish when people come together to care for the land. 💚

🌿 More Dates Announced! Mothers’ Circle at Rhythm Seed Farm

Every other Wednesday | July 22 – September 30

Come to receive, replenish, and remember, you are not meant to do this alone.

Motherhood is a sacred journey of initiation and devotion. This circle is a space to be seen, supported, and deeply nourished, surrounded by the abundance of the garden.

Through song, grounding practices, and heartfelt connection, we’ll soften into the heart, reconnect with our bodies, and deepen our relationship with nature. Bring a song to share, or simply come as you are.

🌸 What to Expect
    •    An intimate gathering for mothers at every stage of motherhood
    •    Gentle support for both you and your children
    •    Space to rest, connect, and simply be
    •    Registration is encouraged as space is intentionally limited.
    •    Assistants will be available to help support children during the gathering.
    •    Feel free to bring a blanket or chair, sun protection, snacks, water, instruments, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable.

💚Suggested donation: $15–35, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. You may register in advance and pay at the door. Your contributions help sustain these gatherings, but the greatest gift is your presence.

All mothers are welcome. We hope you’ll join us in this sacred space of connection, care, and community. 🌿💕
