Still pouring — and going fast.

Both fresh hops are on at StormBreaker: Handfuls of Fresh Hops (whole-cone Centennial) and Total Rekölsch (whole-cone Tettnanger in a crisp Kölsch).

Both are cold-side fresh hopped — mulched whole cones in a 2-bbl brite tank, beer recirculating over them for 16 to 24 hours. No boil, nothing hot.

One batch a year each. Pints and 4-packs at all StormBreaker pubs this weekend.

Both are cold-side fresh hopped — mulched whole cones in a 2-bbl brite tank, beer recirculating over them for 16 to 24 hours.

Handfuls of Fresh Hops — whole-cone Centennial.

Total Rekölsch — whole-cone Tettnanger in a crisp Kölsch. Notes of fresh cut grass, floral, dangerously easy.

Before StormBreaker Brewing opened, this space was home to Amnesia Brewing.

This Saturday (4/18), we’ll be hosting a Celebration of Life for Kevin King. We got together with some of the original Amnesia crew to brew Copacetic IPA in his honor, which we’ll be tapping that day.

Huge thanks to Laboratories, Inc. and for donating the grain, hops, and yeast used to brew Copacetic IPA.

Last week, we brewed Copacetic IPA with some of the old crew from Amnesia Brewing, in tribute to Kevin King, owner of Amnesia and a big part of Portland’s beer history.

Before StormBreaker came Amnesia Brewing. I sold their beer with Point Blank, I worked here, brewed here, and eventually took over this space. Brewing Copacetic again on this system, with the people who helped build it, is an honor.

On April 18, we’ll be hosting Kevin King’s Celebration of Life. $1 from each pint sold will be donated in honor of Kevin.

We’re grateful to Wyeast Laboratories, Inc.st Laboratories and Rahrbsg for their generous support and contributions.

We’re looking forward to enjoying a pint of this with everyone and celebrating Kevin on April 18.
