Day one of summer camp season is officially in the books… and what a beautiful start it was.

From alpaca kisses and fiber crafts to relay races, trivia, laughter, and a whole lot of running around the farm, these kids brought the best energy with them today. The alpacas were absolutely spoiled with attention and snacks, and we loved watching new friendships (human and alpaca 😄) start to form already.

There’s just something special about seeing kids unplug, get dirty, laugh hard, learn something new, and connect with animals out in nature. If today was any indication, this is going to be a really fun summer around here. 💛

Every season at the ranch feels a little different… and summer weekends are filling up quickly. 🤍

We are currently fully booked for private parties, birthdays, and most custom events through the summer, but we still have a limited number of community experiences available through August.

From alpaca yoga and sunset picnics to sound baths and evening tours, these are the remaining public offerings before fall season begins.

Many dates are already beginning to fill, so if there’s something you’ve been wanting to experience, now is the time to grab your spot.

Some animals arrive at a farm.
Others simply feel meant to become part of it.

Carmel Kismet came to us carrying a quiet kind of magic… calm, elegant, observant, and instantly at peace with the herd. Within hours, she was grazing alongside everyone as if she had always belonged here. No drama. No tension. Just a soft, grounded energy that settled over the pasture the moment she arrived.

Her name tells the story perfectly.

“Carmel” comes from her beautiful caramel coloring, but it also holds a deeper meaning for us… inspired by Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, and the peaceful California coastline connected to reflection, nature, and the kind of soul-searching conversations that remind you to slow down and simply be present.

And “Kismet” means fate. Destiny.
A meeting that somehow feels written long before it happens.

The moment we met her, that name just fit.

And somehow, from the very beginning, she already felt like part of the story here.

May has already been such a beautiful month at the ranch. 🌿🦙

From adult Wrangler Camp and birthday celebrations to private picnics, wellness events, community tours, Mother’s Day memories, and even a visit from Good Day Atlanta… the farm has been filled with laughter, connection, peaceful moments, and so much love for the animals.

As we head into summer camp season next week, we’re feeling incredibly grateful for this community and everyone who continues to support our little sanctuary. Many upcoming dates for private events, picnics, and experiences are already filling quickly and pushing further out on the calendar, so if you’ve been hoping to visit this summer, we definitely recommend booking in advance.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us and for helping us create such a calm, joyful space for both people and alpacas alike. We can’t wait to share the rest of the summer with you all. ☀️💛

Pete has had a big week being on the news and apparently now believes he deserves full VIP snack service. 😂

We usually cut the herd’s carrots before evening rounds, but last night we brought them out whole to prep in the barn.

Before we knew it, Pete was grabbing entire carrots out of the bowl, flipping them around like a circus act, and refusing to wait for “table service.”

The real-time commentary and uncontrollable laughter in the background pretty much sums up life around here lately. 😂
