Per Bree Metzler Beery 's post, she took home 2 does, a chocolate chinchilla and a chocolate she named Sugar and Spice! Super cute, so I think my 2 keepers who are ALSO a chocolate doe and a chocolate chinchilla buck need spice names. Totally stealing it Bree 🤣🤣 itll help me keep track of who's who believe it or not!

So! I need a boy name for a chocolate chinchilla Tamuk, a girl name for a chocolate doe, and another girl name for a blue doe from another litter but all the same age.

And go! My current houghts are Garlic for my boy, Clove for the chocolate and Butterfly Pea for the blue 🤔 (blue not pictured)

Torching has begun!

Bought a propane torch to start flaming the barn to combat the fur and mass of spiders/webs that are untouchable this year. It's so fun and the ASMR is 👌👌 maybe its because its been a losing battle for months now, mayyybe its because I now have a tactical torch to burn things, who knows 🤷‍♀️ 😆

Torch with safety kids, propane burns are no joke. Don't ask me how I know 😅 Already made holes in the new shade cloth being overzealous too, and didnt even get the webs I was aiming for... 3 cage banks down, 6 to go!

Just in time for the heat wave and emergency water shut off we've had this week. Installed Monday in the dark, so definitely need to work on placement but as long as air is flowing well, buts are okay!

Hati got a decent gash somewhere. May or may not have been from a scuffle with a coyote prowling the rabbitry.

Luca went off course following a coyote trail and somehow sheared off a chunk of paw pad.

Both are fine and already healing quickly! But things happen fast, and sometimes ya never know where it came from 🥴

More Summertime Kits! You'll notice minimal if not NO hair in the nests. During the heat, mamas will either not pull fur, or, if they do, I remove almost all from the box. Newborn kits + lots of fur= lots of casualties in these temps.

Silver Fox litter RRR Kimura x PRR Romeo had a whopping 2 kits! She'll take some fosters from the other bigger litters. 🖤

TAMUK-C SPECIAL litter Zeta x Oscar the Copper Satin! 6 beautiful chunky babies! 😍 cant wait to see what these turn into! 🤎🖤

Willa blue chin x Foxtrot REW had 9! Looks like mostly lilac/blue based kits 🩵💜

Idalou Black J*p Harli x Knox Blue J*p Harli had a perfect 8 of heavy marked Harlis of different shades 🧡🖤🩵

Nylah Red x Indigo had 9 kits. Mama was struggling a bit in the Socal heat yesterday, so she got brought in for some TLC to help her with continuing contractions to get kits out. Now they are all doing well and will return outside this evening. Looks like a variety of red, blue, lilac, chins, and frosty/ermine! 💜🤎🧡🖤🩵

Now on to Painted Rock's show results!

PRR's The Storm got BOB/BOV in show C, PRR's Rookie got Best Opposites

Show B, KCD2 got a 1st place in junior does, but got beat out by the show winner. Rookie got Best Opposites again! Congrats to Rawhide Ranch & Rabbitry with the Beautiful BOB intermediate doe!

Fair show A Storm once again took BOB/BOV, and Rookie got his 3RD Best Opposites!

Getting to watch the shows with Isabel, and see her be so open and willing to learn talking to all the Rabbit Folk at this show, including Ashley from Rawhide, Linda Bell who was her Ramona Fair judge, and strangers just for the opportunity to learn and potentially handle other breeds of rabbits is such a warming experience!
