🔥 Hereford Feeder Alert! 🔥

Coming to the sale from John & Sandy DeWys is a fancy set of 6 Polled Hereford feeders consisting of 3 steers and 3 heifers.

✅ Born January - March 2026
✅ Approx. 200-350 lbs.
✅ Steers banded 6/7/26
✅ Vaccinated with Vision 7
✅ Dewormed with injectable Ivermectin

These calves are being raised the right way on grass pasture, green feed, and dry hay. They’re very tame, easy to work with, and already respect an electric fence.

One thing that sets this group apart is the emphasis on eye pigmentation. The DeWys family has utilized Michigan State breeding genetics and has worked to develop pigmentation around the eyes—a trait many cattlemen believe helps reduce pinkeye problems.

Not registered, but they’re a practical, good-looking set of Hereford feeders with plenty of quality behind them.

👀 If you’re looking to add some Hereford genetics to your operation, be sure to keep an eye on this group when they come through the ring!

HEREFORD DAY – MONDAY, JUNE 15

If you’re looking to add quality Hereford genetics to your herd, make plans to be here Monday, June 15.

Lanells Bovines of Eau Claire, MI has consigned a group of 18 Herefords featuring proven bloodlines and productive cow families. This offering includes 5 cow/calf pairs, bred cows, heifers, a registered breeding bull, and feeder bulls. Several cattle sell with AHA registration papers.

Leading the offering is EF Chevy Miles 517 324J, a registered breeding bull sired by Miles McKee 2103 ET and backed by the legendary NJW Ribeye 88X ET lineage.

The female side of the offering is equally impressive and includes cattle tracing back to Churchill Sensation 028X, one of the most influential sires in the Hereford breed. Featured females include:

• Irene 502K – Churchill Sensation 028X daughter out of a TJ 2960 Winner 8B female.
• AMU Zero Samantha UB1 – Proven cow family and the foundation female behind several cattle in the offering.
• Charlee 618L – Daughter of AMU Zero Samantha UB1 and granddaughter of Churchill Sensation 028X.
• Cora 803K and Clara 804K – Twin sisters from the Samantha cow family and sired by Churchill Sensation 028X.

The cows have been exposed to the bull and will be pregnancy checked prior to the sale.

Whether you’re looking for a herd sire, replacement females, cow/calf pairs, or an opportunity to add Hereford genetics to your operation, this is a group you won’t want to overlook.

Our sale last night was on fire — just like the Ravenna Girls Varsity Softball team. Congratulations to the girls on winning the Division 3 Regional Championship, and good luck today in the quarterfinals. The entire district is cheering you on!

Yesterday’s sale featured strong numbers, strong prices, and plenty of buyer interest from start to finish. It was another solid Monday in Ravenna.

June 1 Market Update

We started June a little on the quiet side, but still ended the night with a respectable sale, including 156 fat cattle and 126 cows.

The cow market held steady from last week, while the fat cattle market did drop off a few dollars this week.

As the market continues to grow, online bidding has continued to bring in buyers from all over and has become a strong part of our weekly sales. We appreciate everyone that takes the time to view, bid and support the market both in person and online. To register to bid or view our livestock sales online visit www.lmaauctions.com.

Hay season is officially starting to pick up and we did see some new crop hay sell through the hay sale this week. New small square bales sold from $5.00 to $6.00 per bale. As always, quality and consistency continue to make a difference as buyers start looking ahead for their summer and winter needs.

Memorial Day weekend kicked off the 2026 Flea Market season, which runs every Saturday through Labor Day weekend. Vendor spots are $5.00 each. For more information contact Marcia at (231)571-8710.

May 25 Sale Update

Memorial Day definitely sent us out of May with a bang. Good numbers, good prices, and a good crowd.

We had a lot of new faces at the sale yesterday — both buyers and sellers — which we love to see. It shows us that our social media posts are working, and hopefully some positive word of mouth is helping spread the word too.

Once again, our goat and sheep customers came out in full force with 68 goats and 46 sheep through the ring, and the buyers showed up to support the market all the way.

The feeder cattle that hit the ring were once again an exceptional group of calves. As much as we enjoy our Saturday feeder sales — and we will, of course, continue with two a year — the Monday night feeder sales have made it convenient for people to buy and sell all in one trip.

Sell some livestock, then buy some feeder cattle — all in the same night.

We know it makes for a late night for our employees and packer buyers, but we are hoping to have a few more Monday night feeder cattle runs throughout the summer.
