Next time someone asks if we have animals at our farm we will say yes. No cows or goats but we do have a magnificent bobcat that occasionally walks around at dusk like it owns the place. Don’t worry!! you can still bring dogs and babies because first name Bob last name Cat is very antisocial and only comes out at night 🐈

Looks like nice summer weather coming this weekend. We’ll have big beautiful bouquets of dahlias and all kinds of flowers, sourdough breads, galettes, cookies, scones, etc., and tables full of greens, purples, lots of different color and types of heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, beans, lettuce, giant scallions, etc. We also have zucchini flowers upon request!!!

Everything totally organic, just picked and fresh baked.

We will be open this weekend unless total rain-out. I’ve been waiting all week to see about the psycho-weather and it’s now looking ok/passable for Saturday (today) and probably the same for Sunday. Once we get into cooler temps in the Fall the plan is to move into the barn to the vintage store & farmstand & bakery… we’ll see

The tables will be full with heirloom tomatoes, zucchini flowers, patty pans, beans, giant scallions, onions, greens, purples and more, and the best sourdough breads, and the bakery galettes, cookies and scones and bouquets with dahlias and other flowers 💐

Everything totally organic and fresh!!

We’re dizzy for dahlias! Dahlias are a unique flower in that there are many varieties, and we’re growing a lot of them. Are you guys interested in buying flowers?? We’ve begun selling a few bouquets and they seem to be catching on 💐

Stay posted in terms of how the weather’s looking this weekend. We’ll try, maybe Saturday morning, and we’re already baking. But stay tuned!!

Even with all the psycho-weather it’s good to know we still get nice summer days and even some perfect days, and the gardens are looking lush and full of color. It is always a wonder to be a part of how the gardens change through the growing season. Speaking of which, we would love to talk to anybody who is interested in volunteering here 👀

Along with the greens, the carrots, beets, basils, zuccini and patty pans, etc., our heirloom tomatoes are finally starting!! 🍅

The tables will start full with galettes, cookies, scones and a variety of the best sourdough breads and beautiful flower bouquets.

We could talk about all this rain and how the plants usually love it, but I’d rather talk about our chocolate chip cookie. Last season, and then again a couple of weeks ago, an 8-year-old girl was enjoying the cookie and proudly declared that we name it “Chocolate Messy Cookie” since the chocolate had gotten over much of her smiling face. Since then we’ve been sometimes using the name. But last weekend, some grownup bakery lovers suggested the name “Existential Cookie”. I like both names. I can also understand if others do not. But here’s the question: can a cookie have a first and last name? Like a dog. Or a person. So, for now, we’re going with Chocolate Messy Existential Cookie. Yes, it is lengthy but also a little poetic.
Or lame. We’ll see.

Everything truly organic, made by hand, flavorful and nutrition-filled.

More fresh cut flowers this weekend and beautiful sourdough breads.
