Making progress....

Don't mind the mess...

Chicken math is a real thing, ya know..... It's so real that we had to extend our chicken run!

Gotta finish up the roof panels. Get all their feeders/wateres cleaned and rearranged and get some more activities for them. Then add onto the coop. 🤦‍♀️Nick probably hates me at this point. 🤣

The Chickens seem to like having more room in there though.

Incase anyone was missing us and wondering what's been happening here. We Are trying something new. Put mulch in, we'll see if we like it better than sand.

Got more ladies in their saddle bags today. These roosters just dont leave them alone. .

We attempted to count the Chickens today. 🤣 We think we have 37 adults. I would say anywhere from 36-39 would be good. We have 5 juvenile in with the adults and 1 special needs by herself until she gets big enough then we'll see. We have 10 new babies... 🤦‍♀️ Nick went and bought some to put under our broody hens because they are so beyond being broody they are hurting eachother by ripping eachother out of the nesting boxes (we even put 8 more in, but not good enough) well our plan didn't work so back in a brooder box... BUT WAIT... That's not all!! I have more the the incubator. 🤣

Now if I could then these chickens to stay off the deck and steps that would be the best thing yet!

I don't like bees, as most of us don't. But this was pretty cool. They had honey comb in there.

All 23 babies are doing great!

We had a total of 30 in the incubator. 5 weren't fertal and 2 were developed but didn't make it to hatching.

I'd say 23 out of 30 is amazing for our first time doing this.

Let us know if you want barnyard mix chicks. :)
