Maple Wind Farm

Maple Wind Farm Regenerative, pasture-raised meat and eggs grown in the green mountains of Vermont 🌱 WHY GRASS FED?

Maple Wind Farm offers 100% grass fed beef,pasture-raised pork, chicken, turkey and eggs. At Maple Wind Farm, all of our animals are raised on pasture, and our cows are produced entirely on grass. What are the health, ecological, and societal benefits of a pasture-based farm?

* The use of intensive rotational grazing builds soils and increases diversity and fertility, while reducing erosion.

* Animals are allowed to express their natural behavior, reducing stress and resulting in higher quality healthy products.
* Animals are moved daily to new pasture, naturally distributing their manure and thereby drastically reducing food consumption.
* Grass fed meats have reduced fat content.
* Healthy essential fats such as Omega-3 and Conjugated Linoleic Acids (CLA’s) are present in higher concentrations in grass fed meats.
* Food is sold locally. As consumers develop relationships with Maple Wind Farm, they gain an awareness and appreciation of the origin and production methods of their food.
* Pasture-based farming allows small family farms to thrive.
* We use pasture-raised animals to build the soils that produce our tasty vegetables. Read our story for more information about Maple Wind Farm’s pasture-based philosophy on our website.

We have exciting news: all our calves have been born!🐄 The agro-ecosystem here at Maple Wind Farm is ever evolving.

Our herd of beef cattle is keeping busy enjoying the delicious grass. Then, our flock of laying hens step in, keeping the soil healthy and fertile. Our pasture system is designed to work in harmony with nature.🌿

Stay tuned for more updates from the field!👩‍🌾

Team Profile: Meet Teddy! 🌟
Originally from Boston, Teddy joined the Maple Wind team this season because of his passion for food systems, regenerative agriculture, and livestock—and he knew this was a place with a friendly, welcoming team.
As a member of both our field crew and processing team, Teddy enjoys helping move our cows and chickens and loves spending time around the animals. He also takes pride in working in our processing unit, carefully preparing the packages that make their way from our farm to your table. It’s a role that connects every step of the journey—from healthy soils to happy animals to nourishing meals.
Outside of work, Teddy loves to cook and appreciates having access to Maple Wind’s pasture-raised meats. When he’s not in the kitchen or on the farm, you’ll likely find him camping, hiking, or playing soccer with friends.
🌱 Fun fact: Teddy’s last name means “soil” in Polish. We like to think that means he was destined to work on a regenerative farm!
Thanks for all your hard work, Teddy—we’re so glad you’re part of the Maple Wind team!

Feeding time on our farm is never a dull moment! 🔥🐔

Did you know we add 🌶️ cayenne pepper 🌶️ to our turkeys’ feed? It’s a natural way to support their overall wellbeing, help protect against parasites, and even discourage unwanted pests.

Curious to learn more about the sustainable practices we use here at Maple Wind Farm? Visit our website or sign up for one of our pasture walks, happening before our next Fried Chicken Dinner on August 14th. We’d love to show you around and share what makes our farm unique! 🌿🚜
