We spent this past weekend in Lebanon, OH for the annual OVDBA show. We took Mossy Roots’ Lucky Penny and Mossy Roots’ Lucky Clover. Both of our heifers placed first in their classes. Travis helped work the show ring when we weren’t showing our animals. Dawn also brought home a buckle for Reserve Champion in Adult Showmanship! Olivia had an absolute blast at her first cattle show. She loved seeing all the cows and hanging out in the barn. It was a great weekend for our first show as a family!

We still have Spot X Crosbreed feeders available. Weight ranging from 45-80lbs depending on which pig. DOB March 26. We have 3 boars and 1 gilt. Need them gone ASAP. $150 each or $500 for all 4.

Mossy Roots’ Lucky Penny joined us at the OVDBA Show in Wooster this weekend. This was her first experience in the show ring. She showed as an intermediate heifer and placed 4th in her class. Hopefully she will attend more shows with us in future years to come. She’s following in her mother’s show cow footsteps. Lucky Penny is out of Whittington Lucky and FFD Murphy.

After two years of bull calves, Lucky FINALLY gave us a little heifer! She was born this afternoon. We are still working on a name.

Edit: We are calling her Lucky Penny!

Our chickens did great again with judging this year at the Canfield Fair!

Susan - Light Brahma 1st place
Goldie - Buff Orpington 1st place
Lacey - Wyandotte 3rd place

Sheldon, Melvin, and Grayson will be in the Rooster Crowing Contest on Monday morning!
