Our re**er truck went down today.

If you don’t know dairy: no refrigeration means no bottling. And milk doesn’t wait. You can’t tell a cow to hold on until Tuesday.

So I called Phil Noble. A guy I hadn’t talked to in a few years. Out of the blue, no warm-up, just “I’m in a bind.”
He sent his re**er truck down the road to our farm. No hesitation. Didn’t ask what was in it for him.

That’s Phil C Noble out of Anza. Phil and Juany and their boys have been growing organic veggies and raising grass fed beef up on that mountain for over two decades. Real family farm. The kind where the kids are actually in it.
Here’s the thing I keep thinking about: farmers are terrible at pumping each other up. We’ll grind for 20 years right next to each other and never say out loud how good the guy down the road is. So I’m saying it. Phil is one of the good ones, and his food is worth your money.

Don't let the egg carton fool you.

Labels like "cage-free," "free-range," and even "pasture-raised" only tell part of the story. Most laying hens still rely on supplemental feed, and the quality of that feed matters just as much as the pasture they have access to.

That's why it's so important to know your farmer. Ask what the chickens are eating, how they're raised, and where your food comes from. A label can only tell you so much. The farmer can tell you the rest.

When cattle spend their lives on healthy pasture, everything changes. Healthy soil grows healthier grass. Healthier grass nourishes healthier animals. And healthier animals produce beef with more of the nutrients many people are missing.

Glyphosate is one of the most widely used herbicides in the world, and it's sprayed across millions of acres of farmland every year.

Monsanto has faced thousands of lawsuits over Roundup, and the World Health Organization's cancer research agency classifies glyphosate as "probably carcinogenic."

Now, an executive order is aimed at protecting domestic glyphosate production.

Instead of doubling down on chemical-dependent farming, why not invest in farming that builds healthy soil, raises healthy animals, and grows real food? That's the future worth protecting.

Factory farming isn't the only way to feed the world, no matter how many times we're told it is.

We're constantly hearing that we need giant feedlots, engineered food, and lab-made meat to feed a growing population. But healthy soil, healthy animals, and regenerative farming can produce real food while making the land better instead of destroying it.

The problem isn't that we can't grow enough food. It's that the current system makes a lot of people a lot of money.

Real food isn't the problem. It's the solution.
