When we first started filling jars with XO Sauce, we’d order 1,000 jars or less at a time because we didn’t know how people would respond, and a lot of empty glass jars meant holding onto capital in storage. Almost 10 months after our first sale and all your support, we’re able to order our first full pallet, thank you 🙏🏼

Sun Yum XO Sauce is now at On Waverly in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It’s a thoughtfully curated shop and creative space that highlights the voices and talents of AAPINH artists, authors and makers. We are so excited and honored that we get to be a part of it.

Rice noodle rolls with XO sauce! This is a popular dim sum dish that we’ve been cooking a lot more of. Recipe below

You can buy pre-rolled rice noodle rolls at an Asian grocery store, and if you do, microwave them for a couple minutes until they’re soft before pan frying.

If you want to roll them from flat rice noodles, make sure you buy freshly made ones from the grocery store. It’s hard to roll them otherwise!

1 1/2 cups of rice noodle rolls / cheung fun
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tsp Sun Yum XO sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp chicken bouillon
1 tsp sugar

Craving spicy wontons? We have a sauce recipe for you! You can use just chili oil or mix it with XO sauce, too for that deep savory umami flavor and extra texture

Let us know if you try it!

1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp boiled water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chopped green onions
1 tsp Sun Yum XO sauce (optional)
1/2 tsp Sun Yum chili oil (more or less depending on how spicy you want it!)
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/4 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp fresh minced garlic

We’re so excited to share that you can find our XO Sauce and Chili Oil at Refresh House in Renton, WA. It’s your neighborhood spot for smoothies, cold-pressed juices, grab & go meals, and a growing pantry curated by Yoyo.

We met Yoyo in the first weeks of XO Sauce production when we were both working in the same kitchen in Woodinville, WA. Now, we’re honored to be on her shelves :)
