Reminder that the Princeton Mobile Book Center will be out and about this summer throughout the district!! Please see the image below for our schedule.

Come on out and have your child select a book or two. We will have color sheets, and lots of smiles!

**Also - if you have new or gently used children’s books you no longer need, please consider donating them to the PMBC. That way, we can get them into the hands of kids who would love to read them. Books are wonderful gifts that keep on giving!! ❤️📚❤️📚❤️📚❤️

Thank you for continuing to support our efforts to increase literacy all across our district, and beyond.

Kwame Alexander just answered my question on his live Q&A! Kicks from Nike for a poem about LeBron!

I needed a fun book read project over the weekend, so I finally did what I've wanted to do for several years... I made my "Solo" by Kwame Alexander & Mary Rand Hess playlist.

It.
Is.
Amazing.

Eclectic, odd, new and old, pop, heavy metal, folk, rock, West African Funk, just mind-blowing. As if I didn't love Kwame already. But now really seeing his this amazingly crazy diverse song selection for this book, I think we are soulmates.

Of course I had to re-read the book to get all of the subtle references in the text, not just the song titles that he explicitly dropped. I've seen other people's playlists online, but I wanted to do it myself to find those subtle references like the chapter titles that are also song titles. So now it is time to compare and see how well I've done finding all of the song references. Although, there are two songs I have struggled with finding which artist he meant. Many songs with that title, but totally different songs.

Check this out!
